Tomen y Mur Castle
Dolwyddelan Castle. Built, probably on the site of an earlier Welsh castle, between about 1210 and 1240 by Llewelyn the Great to control a strategic route through his kingdom. The centre of the castle, the rectangular stone tower, was restored in Victorian times.
